Abstract The objective of this chapter is to provide the reader with an overall view current situation regarding clean energy access in sub-Saharan Africa, as well compare it other developing and emerging economies. It focuses on role played by our daily lives financing gaps power cooking sectors subcontinent. This section aims at setting scene giving more information about dramatic challenges region currently facing.
